MANDATE AND OPERATIONS
Mandate: Established by the Ministry of Government and Police to receive testimonies pertaining to human rights violations between 1979 and 1996, to carry out investigations, and submit evidence to the judiciary.

RESULTS
Received information on 300 cases and investigated unmarked graves of many victims of torture and execution.
FINAL REPORT
The Commission did not complete a report, as it disbanded early due to a lack of resources and a political change, when President A. Bucarem was removed from office by the National Congress.
